Polygamist sect trial a rare event in Texas town


Thank you, Info-Sect.  I read this on the web on Saturday but could not get the article copied and pasted into my email.  As Americans watch Canada dealing with the issue of polygamy; likewise, Canadians are watching America—especially Texas where I still say they did it right!  The Eldorado Success newspaper www.myeldorado.net has a chronology of the events surrounding the building of the Yearning for Zion Ranch, the child welfare raid, etc.

SAN ANGELO, Texas — The first jury trial in more than a decade in the sleepy West Texas town of Eldorado involves an alleged polygamist and an accusation of sexual assault of an underage bride, a far cry from the occasional drunken driving cases that normally occupy the Schleicher County court system.  COMPLETE ARTICLE HERE
